Breakthrough is a human rights organisation working to make violence and discrimination against women and girls unacceptable. Pinky and Pankaj are existing breakthrough characters – two friends who through friendly banter educate the audience about important issues.

Now, this film already existed, by a studio unknown

The pandemic had just hit and they wanted to make some educational films and wanted to use the same characters – but there was a problem. The studio which did the first film was not in touch with them and there were no open files/character which could be used.

Bakarmax to the rescue. After having done Jhole Wali Didi for them, we were committed to help them! We rebuilt the characters from scratch, rigged them – wrote brand new covid education scripts and made the film for them.

As far as writing is concerned, we write everything we make. Few animation studios do that. We inserted Bollywood references and overall decided to lighten up the tone of the films for the audience.

The first film talks about the basic covid safety measures.

The second film, in our own hilarious treatment, was about the need for a balanced diet – especially during COVID.

The third film was about the importance of exercise in times of covid. And the client was kind enough to allow Dangal references! (Yes, we write all our work!)
