Imagine the classic WhatsApp forward your dad watches on full volume, with a joke that’s barely funny and a laugh track loud enough to wake up the neighbours.
Our brief was simple- Create awareness about Lymphatic Filariasis, the causes, effects and treatment. A mosquito borne disease that clinically manifests itself in the form of enlarged limbs, swelling and bumps years after infection contraction.
There is no known cure but only preventative methods which involve government organised mass drug administrations, once a year for 5-6 years.
Once we had all the necessary information in hand, we brainstormed on how we can take our insights and make something which is easy to understand and even easier to disseminate.
Enter- Our obsession with WhatsApp forwards. And how quickly a message gets forwarded if it goes viral. Plus a twist on the classic “Haathi-cheenti” jokes, that will make you chuckle, simply because it’s actually not funny at all!
Except here, our leads were a sassy mosquito and a shy elephant. Reason, Lymphatic Filariasis is a mosquito borne disease and its colloquial term in Hindi is “Haathi Paanv” or elephant’s foot.
Everything quite literally fell into place as we devised a concept that used silly jokes like Haathi proposing to a macchar, inter-size marriage and what not!

Quick, snackible funny videos that address the brief whilst also reminding you of the WhatsApp forwards we love to hate!
